Daily care and cleaning

CUTTING BOARDS

DO NOT wash in the dishwasher.

Always wash the cutting board immediately after use - with warm water and a dish brush. Rinse with cold water. If you have cut meat, chicken, onions, garlic, etc., use washing-up liquid sparingly.

Do not use more water than necessary; wood is a living material that swells with liquid.

Wipe the cutting board dry with a kitchen towel, then leave the board to dry standing up.

Never use the dishcloth to wipe your cutting board , due to bacteria that may have collected in the cloth which then end up on the cutting board.

If necessary, you can splash on vinegar or vinegar, and then rinse off - good disinfecting properties - then you get a clean and bacteria-free cutting board.

You can also sprinkle salt over the cutting board and rub the whole cutting board with lemon. The lemon and the salt together make you get a bacteria-free and fragrant cutting board. Then rinse the cutting board with warm water and allow to dry.

If necessary, lubricate the cutting board with WoodBalm, after cleaning and drying - to protect and seal cracks and pores. You should also use this WoodBalm when you see that your cutting board looks a little dry.
